With NYS Governor Cuomo’s order of 100% of non-essential workforce employees to stay home, the staff of Groton Public Library are working from home. A reminder that no one is in the Library on a daily basis anymore. Sara checks in on Tuesdays and that is it. If we can help you remotely in any way, please leave a message at (607) 898-5055 or email Sara at firstname.lastname@example.org Leave your name, inquiry, and best way to reach you. We will try to respond as quickly as possible. Thank you all for your patience at this unprecedented time!
With schools and many other places (including libraries) closed, keeping children entertained while also providing an educational aspect is tough. We’ve created a list of resources available to you for FREE.
Finger Lakes Library System has put together a list of FREE virtual (online) resources to use during this time.
In addition, keep an eye on our Facebook and Instagram pages as we will be sharing updates, other resources, and some fun videos.
While you can’t currently check physical items out of our library, e-content is still available! For e-books & e-audiobooks – check Overdrive. For e-magazines, check RB Digital (formerly Zinio). For music albums, e-audiobooks, movies, TV shows, e-books, and e-comics, check Hoopla. For learning a new language, check Mango Languages. All of these services are free to use through our Library and there’s plenty of kid content too. All you need is your library card to sign up. If you don’t know your library card number or can’t find your library card, give us a call at 607-898-5055 and we’ll be able to assist you with that!
Remember, the Groton Public Library is temporarily closed due to the pandemic. You can still call with any questions. Thank You!
