Groton Central School District has sent out their plan for the 2020-2021 school year. They have introduced two plans – the Hybrid Plan and the Remote Learning Plan.
The Hybrid Plan:
UPK-6 – Students will attend in person M-F 3 hours a day (AM/PM, school will let you know which). Students will receive instruction focused on ELA and math. One day a week will be extended so students may attend specials.
7-12 – Students will attend in person M-F 3 hours a day (AM/PM, school will let you know which) and online. Each student will have 4 classes in person and 2 classes remote a day.
The Remote Learning Plan:
K-12 – Students have the option to attend all their classes remotely on a structured, daily schedule. Students will have the ability to ask their teachers questions, just as if they were in the classroom. Google classroom will be utilized. K-6 will be assigned a classroom teacher working with other remote learners and they will focus on ELA and math. 7-12 will attend their daily regular classes by live streaming in to the classroom at their scheduled time.
