The Groton Public Library is pleased to announce we were awarded one of the 2014 Excellence Through Equity Recognition Awards of $1,000. The Hope Foundation created these awards to recognize and support educational equity initiatives and honor the dedication of those working on excellence through equity. The Community Foundation’s Tompkins Today and Tomorrow Fund administers these awards.
This grant will be used in collaboration with the Groton Youth Commission to continue our successful Teen Night program and to support our afterschool GPL Teen Thing – a program for Groton youth in grades 6th, 7th and 8th.
The Groton Public Library and the Groton Youth Commission could not be more thrilled to be sharing this wonderful news with all of you – this award will make a difference!
And to the Hope Foundation, the Community Foundation of Tompkins County, the awards review panel, the advisory group, and the Tompkins County Chamber of Commerce – thank YOU!
