The Groton Public Library is pleased to announce that we were awarded two grants from The Bernard Carl and Shirley Rosen Library Fund of the Community Foundation of Tompkins County. These grants total $23,282.28.
One grant will be used for our second year of GPL Teen Thing, a program for Groton youth in grades 6th, 7th and 8th. This program will be teen driven and feature weekly presentations and free books for each participant.
The other grant is a collaborative effort between Groton Public Library, Southworth Library Association in Dryden, Powers Library in Moravia and the Cortland Free Library. This grant will bring two picture book authors to each Library for a presentation and each family will receive a free autographed book by the author.
We could not be more thrilled to be sharing this wonderful news with all of you!
